Cynic Romantic

There is a fine line between love and hate
For love is not what they say it is.
It is a cancer in the soul of the soul
That consumes itself while multiplying

Love is no joyful glory
That beams out in happy streams
It bleeds in unloving loving
Red and gray and black and green

There is a fine line between love and hate
For what is love but the happy hate?
The same as hate but only lighter-
For it hopes to survive in goodness
While the other glories in truth.

Sounds like the words of an experienced trekker in the journey of life.....

Ah my feet may be sore, but that is one road I'd rather observe

This is surely not a general truth, it may be true only in a very specific, situation or mood.

Even this will pass.

MM: Ah you misunderstand me. This is no eruption from some ephemeral pimple burst of emotion. This is merely an inference gained from observation. I'm always scientific in this sense :P
